Manicures
Rubber gloves should be worn for dirty and wet jobs e.g. gardening and household chores. Trapped dirt under the nail can cause infection.
Use SolarOil twice daily and massage in to the cuticles to help keep your nails healthy.
After washing your hands gently push back the cuticles with a towel.
Regular manicures every 2 weeks will improve and maintain the overall appearance of hands and nails.
If you wish to change your nail enamel between visits use only acetone free nail polish remover and remember to use a clear nail enamel / base coat before any colour to prevent yellowing on the nail.
Nail Extensions
Use Solar Oil daily to keep enhancements flexible, reduce the risk of breakages & help maintain your natural nails.
Use Acetone Free nail polish remover.
Do not pick or bite nail enhancements if you notice any signs of damage come back for a repair.
Always wear gloves when using household products and gardening.
Do not uses as tools treat as if they are your natural nails.
Undue pressure on the enhancements will cause them to weaken and break
Your enhancements will need maintenance every two/three weeks to re- balance the enhancements if you don't have them regularly maintained or professionally removed damage to the natural nail and enhancements will occur.
Waxing
Do not take a hot bath or shower for 24 hours after treatment as this will cause discomfort and irritation.
Do not apply soaps, deodorants, anti-perspirants, talcum powder, perfumes, make-up or self tanning products to the waxed area for at least 24 hours after treatment.
Do not expose newly waxed skin to direct sunlight (or sunbeds) for at least 24 hours.
Do not wear tights or stockings or very tight fitting clothing that will touch the freshly waxed skin for at least 24 hours
Do exfoliate regularly after a wax. One of the hazards of waxing is ingrown hair, which can be difficult to prevent due to the random direction of hair growth. Regular exfoliation will help and applying a tea-tree based cream can help reduce redness and inflammation from ingrowing hairs.
